The journey of this song began in 2009 in a small studio apartment in NW Washington, DC. I played it at some open mics with a couple friends cheering me on.

As I played the song on my acoustic-electric guitar, I could hear in my mind the musical textures of the full band and the studio production that I believed would one day be cultivated.

In fall 2022, I was invited to work with Plaid Dog Recording on a crowdfunding project to raise funds for my first multi-track studio release.

In February 2023, I went to Boston to record this song as the first single for the project, with the extraordinarily talented producer Ryan Gallagher. Thanks to him, along with the amazing Daniel Yoong (guitar), Corinna Smith (violin) and Russ Sternglass (drums), this song I imagined with so much potential finally came to life.
